Shower arm: Perseus? Oatey Fast Tape? Blue Monster? Pink?

Hi, I just ordered 1/2" Perseus for approx $6 including shipping, but wondering if any of the other options such as Oatey Fast Tape, Blue Monster or Pink would have been preferable for threading a shower arm extender onto shower arm, and then threading a hose onto the extender? The reason i want an extender, is because i'm short for reaching a replacement slot, but also because i want an ultra long hose to pulsate my severe varicose while sitting on tub bottom immersed in water.
For all i know, the plumber may have used the cheapest white tape for screwing my 1950s shower arm back into the recessed-hole, and i never did ask him whether he wound it clockwise or counterclockwise. Should i take the risk of alienating him by asking him what method he uses? Thanks.
