Hello! I've been following your YouTubes for a long time. My home plumbing is all Poly-B tubing, and I'd like to replace it before it fails. BUT, I don't want to begin the project until I'm certain that I'll be able to complete every step. One very safe approach is to make sure I can transition from the Poly-B in case I can't finish everything at once.
My first question is about Poly-B to Pex transition fittings. I'm not sure they exist for the two sizes of Poly-B I have, which is labeled 3P and 4P. The 3P Poly-B pipe is labeled 1/2" CTS x 5/8" OD, and the 4P is 3/4" CTS x 7/8" OD.
SharkBite makes 1/2" and 3/4" transition fittings. But when I called them, the told me the 1/2" and 3/4" CTS of the Poly-B are not the same as the 1/2" and 3/4" ID sizes supported by the SharkBite fitting. That doesn't seem right to me; after all, there's a 1/8" difference between the CTS and OD values.
Will the SharkBite fittings work, and if they won't, what fittings will work? I don't care if they're SharkBite, crimp, or whatever. I just need a solution. Thank you for any and all help.

I know a few people that used these without problems. 1/2" - amzn.to/3RJBLGi3/4" - amzn.to/3NOOxSCAttachments:

SharkBite told me their Poly-B to Pex 3/4” and 1/2” ID fittings will not work, because my pipe specifies 3/4” and 1/2” CTS, NOT 3/4” and 1/2” ID. SharkBite told me the CTS and ID values are not equal.I attached photos of the markings on the pipe.

I’ll call SharkBite again tomorrow and ask, but they definitely said no when I asked today.
