Hi everyone, I am new to this forum after spending a lot of time visiting local big box store, searching Internet and watching YouTube videos. I still don’t have a good recommendation and I really appreciate the help so I can finish the small bathroom remodel project that’s taking me forever. I am remodeling a small bathroom in a house built in South Florida about 25 years ago. One of the bathrooms had a leak and decided to remodel the whole bathroom so I have all the piping exposed on the wall. I called couple of plumbers and of course they suggested replacing all piping with new piping and asked very high prices so I decided to do it myself. I did remodel another small bathroom and successfully replaced copper tubing. Here is my first question how do I identify what kind of pipe I currently have I attached links to the pictures of the pipes I have. Seems like the PB2110 indicates it is polybutylene, is that correct? ibb.co/jz3F2CSibb.co/PQ5p1mjibb.co/GdPy9Stibb.co/wLFhCqJ. Since I decided to go with Pex A after researching. How do I transition from the existing PB pipe to pex a. A few online plumbing supply stores, and none could give me a clear answer. So the first question is, how do I identify and find out what kind of pipe this is? And then the second question is what fitting adapter do I use to transition from this to pex A. I really appreciate any help and glad to be here thank you all

So here's the thing, from what I know, they don't make PB to PEX-A adaptors, you'd need to get a dedicated Sharkbite for that or first transition to PEX-B, and then use an adaptor from PEX-B to PEX-A, here are the adaptors: PB to PEX-B: 1/2" - amzn.to/48Q01Ob3/4" - amzn.to/48PApRGPB Sharkbite: amzn.to/47Q2vLmLemme know if you have other questions!

How would you be able to make the transition from pex b to pex a? They don’t make a pex-A to pex-B adaptor, but you can use a PEX-A MIPA then thread that into a PEX-B FIPA To make the transition.
