We are replacing the tub in our guest bathroom. When we pulled out the old tub, the tub overflow was connected with a Fernco fitting. It has been there since the house was built in 1984. We have a slab foundation so if it leaked we would never notice because it would drip through the soil. I am thinking we can go through the steps and glue it in place to connect is way better. To glue or use a new Fernco fitting?
