No doubt there's worse out there, but I thought people would enjoy seeing the plumbing in our new (to us) home. It's a hundred year old half a duplex, a 'company' house originally built for the miners by the local mining company. You know the saying, 'they don't make them like they used to'? Well sometimes that's a good thing. We bought it from two thousand kms away, sight unseen - well okay, we did see a video, and got an inspection done, but hadn't actually seen it ourselves until last week. I've got a couple photos here of the lines in the basement. There appears to be two (2) supports holding up that entire fabulous assembly. Where to start?? Well, clearly with replacing the mains valve, currently being operated with a rusty pair of vicegrips, and preferably installed before the tee-offs rather than after... But my goodness, really, where do I go after that?
